To experience luxury in the veld is so inspiring when you realise that it is in the Big Five's territory. Only 60km from Worcester you can relax and enjoy nature while you get spoilt at the spa or a restaurant. Adventure is not so far away because a game drive will get the adrenaline pumping. Look a lion or buffalo in the eye and then take a deep breath to get your heart rate down. The game rangers on hand will of course take good care of you.
At the entrance to the Nuy Valley you find Nuy on the Hill Restaurant and Winery which is a very good start to the rest of the valley: Willow Creek is famous for its olives, while Conradie Penhill and Leipzig are sure to satisfy your wine taste buds. Near Rawsonville, that is about 12 km from Worcester, is Du Toitskloof Wine Estate that is well worth a visit also.
This is a wine farm experience that is a bit different to most others. Make your own wine with some assistance from the attendants while enjoying the scenic surroundings. Excelsior Wine Estate boasts many awards that will satisfy the wine connoisseur. A visit to the deli will round off your experience most appropriately.
It is a long trek to Mpumalanga and the Kruger National Park if you go by car, but it can be made interesting along the way. Just to stop in the Karoo and have some “padkos” is one way. Sometimes interesting things happen out of the blue...
I am an all-rounder that enjoys new experiences such as travelling or just going to a show or a film and I have a keen interest in world affairs and especially sport.
The ability to work with groups; to organise; to lead and inform with ease, is part of my experience as a former teacher.
